An approximation of 12,000 objects in orbit around earth few minutes after US & Russian satellite collided
A communications satellite belonging to US company, Iridium 33 has collided with a disused Russian military satellite, Kosmos 2251. It happened on February 10. National Space Agency (NASA) and European Space Agency (ESA) are tracking hundreds of particles of debris from the collision, and said the orbiting International Space Station (ISS) faced a small risk of being struck.
